If you could have any elective cosmetic surgery free of charge, would you? And if so, what would it be?

Re: Free cosmetic surgery
I had the chance to get my slight overbite corrected by an oral surgeon for free. I declined. I felt like I was too young to get anything implanted in my jaw.
As for any other cosmetic surgery, no way.

I'm fine going bald. I can't think of anything else I would remotely consider.

The only thing I would even consider is some ab work. Having kids wrecks that.

Re: Free cosmetic surgery
I've said a couple of times that I wanted a breast augmentation, but I doubt I would seriously consider that. So no.

That's actually a positive thing, I think. Aside from the fact that insurance paid for mine, since I was a reconstruct from mastectomy, even if that wasn't the case, and it was still free, I'd definitely go for it. I know the saying goes that you should love yourself as you are and be thankful for what you've got, but you also only live once, too, and if that makes you happy and makes you feel better about yourself for whatever reasons, even if it's just fitting better into women's clothing, then hey--go for it! One can argue too, that there are more important things in this world than bigger boobs, but all things in balance, and done for the right reasons, there's no harm in it.
I'm not sorry at all that I told them to put the biggest ones they could fit in me, and I can't even tell they're there--they feel no different than what's there naturally, and they're made much safer nowadays, being a gel-form without the worry of leakage of the implants in the past. Here's what I have:

I see that they're not widely available in the US. Does your doctor have the hook up? LOL. I would imagine getting them for free would be a big deal, cause I highly doubt they're inexpensive.

I can't think of anything right now. Hopefully I could keep the coupon for later though.

She must have connections, or they're becoming more common--most of the really big places out in Boston where I go, have access to the state of the art stuff. And no, they aren't cheap--just the reconstruction surgery with implants came to $43,000, I noticed on my insurance statement! And thank God for insurance, with the rest of the surgeries and treatments I had. . . I'd be in the poor house if it all wasn't covered, and I did have a $500 copay for the implants.
