    How do you feel about the five year jump ahead in order to spring forth a new teen scene? Good idea, or no?

    Bad idea. Makes it impossible for crossovers, which was always a nice staple of the ABC soaps. Plus, it was totally unnecessary. AJ/Miranda would be 9 anyway, so given the year break, it wouldn't be THAT jarring if they were suddenly 16. They do that without timeskips on soaps all the time.
