    King Kong

    "I was cured alright."
    A Clockwork Orange

    "The horror. The horror."

"My God, it's full of stars!"
2001: A Space Odessy (I think it's the last line.)

"It's a far, far better thing I do then I have ever done. It's a far far better rest I go to then I have ever known."
    A Tale of Two Cities

"For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph - a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting."
    Patton

"Well, thank you, Harvey. I prefer you, too."
    Harvey

    Being There

    The Professionals

"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
    Casablanca

"Sure, forgive your enemies, but first get even."

I love that movie and I've watched it ever since I was little, but it didn't give me nightmares. The Bat, however, done in the same year and also starring Vincent Price, that one has given me nightmares well into my late teens. Though I realized earlier that I was wrong about that last line, because it was the second to last line, but since it was the last line of the book the main character was dictating, I consider it to be just as well.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen The Bat. I'll have to kepp a look out. What about The Tingler?

The Tingler? Good movie. Last line:

"Ladies and gentlemen, if any of you are still convined that you don't have a tingler of your own, the next time you're alone in the dark and you're frightened...don't scream."
