They were here to cause trouble. In my deleting their posts, I came across one where one of they forgot ta typ lyke dis, and it read legibly. That just tells me they came here to play.

We have been lucky so far that this is the only intrusion from the Twilight Zone people, usually there are a lot of crazies that will sign on and cause problems.

Thank Goodness for IP bans. I knew if I had just blocked their names, they would have been back five minutes later with their troll dander in overdrive.
And I just wanna say that I *hate* having to ban people. I really don't want to be that kind of an admin., who runs people out for next to no reason. I want everyone to come here, feel comfortable, get into the spirit of sensibly interacting with each other, and to have a good time. Unfortunately, I'm learning that with a forum, you get a lot of bot accounts from people who just sign up to spam, or to troll like we just saw.
And I just wanna say that I *hate* having to ban people. I really don't want to be that kind of an admin., who runs people out for next to no reason. I want everyone to come here, feel comfortable, get into the spirit of sensibly interacting with each other, and to have a good time. Unfortunately, I'm learning that with a forum, you get a lot of bot accounts from people who just sign up to spam, or to troll like we just saw.

I have no idea what went on here earlier, but it sounds like the place was hit with a few random trolls who signed up to either cause trouble, or to just to act a fool. If I'm right, then you did the right thing by banning them. I think we have all been to forums were the inmates run the asylum, and I myself never stick around boards like that. No one wants to frequent a virtual halfway house, and to have to put on boots to walk through all that muck, so your acting fast to stop them in their tracks was the right thing to do.

Exactly, you did the right thing in IP banning them I hope they are not smart enough to use proxy or change their IP address.
