What versions of this movie have you seen and which did you like best?

My favorite has always been the Jeff Goldblum version from 1980, even though it changed the character of Ichabod Crane completely and made him a through and through skeptic who wouldn't believe in ghosts if they hit him in the head.

I've also seen the Walt Disney cartoon version, I'm not big on the musicals but I like it, it's funny and it does have some good music, and that chase scene, even for a cartoon that's very scary.

I also saw a computer animated version on TV about 10 years ago, I think it was called The Night of the Headless Horseman or something...I never got to see the end of it but it was pretty good too.

I have not, and I have no intention to ever see the Johnny Depp version.

Of course I've seen the classic Disney version and really enjoyed that when young.

The Depp version is the only other that I've seen and I may just watch it again tonight now that you mentioned it. I really liked that version, saw it in theater and got it on DVD.

You really should give it a look.

I can understand Supernova's resistance to the Burton/Depp version because it bears very little resemblance to the Disney/Washington Irving plot but I like it very much. I think Depp is one of the bravest actors out there today because he will play anybody.
