    Have you ever been friends with someone and, for whatever reason, you decided that it couldn't continue; and from there formally ended it to their face (as opposed to simply tapering off communication?)

    No. I've never lost a friend that way. We've lost touch because of time and distance but not because we're angry.

    I had a best friend for 16 years and over a stupid little argument, we just stopped calling each other. He was wrong and I felt that he should have made the attempt to get in touch with me but his stupid pride would not let him and I was not going to back down this time so it ended and we have not seen each other since.

    Nah. Most of the people I don't speak to anymore, we've lost touch. And if I happen to run into them again, we'd definitely talk.
