Rex/Kelly/Joey/Aubrey

I was under the impression that the Aubrey character was just a plot device and that the goal was to ultimately reunite Joey and Kelly, but despite their continued run-in's and nuances, I'm not feeling any chemistry between them (or the actors.) The actor playing Joey is meshing much better with the actress playing Aubrey than he is with Gina Tognoni, which I imagine may lead to Joey's being unloaded again. The basis of Joey's return, to me, seemed like another attempt to restore Kelly's prominence after her prior stories failed. If this doesn't work, then I have a hard time believing that the writers will keep Joe around, even if he is Clint and Viki's son.

Speaking of Aubrey, these vague conversations with this incognito person Aubrey keeps talking will get old very soon. Hurry up and clue the audience in on what her intentions are.

So far Joey has come across to me as clueless and naive.He's been around the block a few times but he acts as if he's learned nothing.

This Joey just seems bland. I think Aubrey may outlast both Joey and Kelly.

If she dig into that girls life and destroy Joey's relationship, he is not going to thank her because he is in love with her. Kelly need to step off.

Yeah - Joey really is coming across as clueless and naive. I'm jut not that into him, nor Aubrey, nor Kelly. Kelly's annoying me most of the time and I'm just not into Aubrey of Joey. Time to move on and back-burner them - it's not really working and forcing it on us is going to end up backfiring.

Yeah - the actor seems fine but it's Joey that's boring and dull.

I agree. There's just no spice to the role. I didn't watch back then but I imagine NF was worlds more compelling.

Glad I'm not the only one who is cold to this NuJoey. I think even Bruce Michael Hall was more compelling, earlier on anyway, than Tom Degnan. He's not a bad actor, but there's just something not right about him as Joey. Sort of like when Tim Gibbs played Kevin. I fear that when the actor who plays this new Cutter character makes his debut, I'm gonna regret that they switched the roles around.
