What's Your Role?

In my experience, message boards are sort of like reality TV in that posters, once they feel out the scene, unconsciously begin assuming "roles" on the board: the irreverent guy, the prissy one, the quirky gay, the supportive "den mother," the young hothead, the spiritual voice/peacemaker, the uptight militant, the atheistic iconoclast, the straight-talking sista, etc. Just to name a few random examples. I'm not saying each of those stereotypes exist here.

What's your role (other than your own self)? Mine varies depending upon my mood and thread trends.

Err don't really know what "character" i play, just being myself! But if I had to pick one then the not-that-quirky "gay" I guess?

As the admin., it's kind of easy for me to assign you all "roles," because I've observed all your personalities.

Norman Lear was the creator of a bunch of 70s sitcoms like All In the Family, Sanford & Son, the Jefferson's, Good Times, Diff'rent Strokes, Maude. But thanks. :biggrin:

Nope. It only takes one person to send a request for two members to become friends. It's like Facebook in that regard. But you can friend requests to someone else here if you'd like.

Friend requests don't really do anything, it's basically a way of acknowledging that you like someone. If two members become friends, they sport each others names on their friends list in their profile. It's sort of like having someone sign your yearbook.

I think I am kind of the "plain" one. Not that it is a bad thing...I tend to keep personal details to myself and don't engage in many heated debates, so I am just kinda "there". And I don't mean that necessarily on this board, but just in general when I post online.
