    Which actors basically play the same role in every movie (or TV show)? My vote is that Alec Baldwin wins this....his characters personalities are always the same.

    This next bunch are more character actors. You might not recognize the names but if you've watched enough movies you should have seen them playing the same type of character. Sometimes it's unsettling to see them playing a different kind of character because you keep expecting them to revert back to form.

    Pretty much, yeah. Not all the time but close enough. Will Ferrell too. He's usually rampaging around the set as in Elf. It was so refreshing to see him in something like Stranger Than Fiction. I forgot to disagree with Marc over Alec Baldwin. Arnold Schwarzenegger is far more repetitive. I think the other end of the spectrum (playing all types of character) would be someone like Johnny Depp.

    ^^Sorry. Totally disagree about Depp. Even his more recent roles haven't been all Willy Wonkas, Mad Hatters or Capt. Jack Sparrows.

    I dislike Christopher Walken. He gives me the creeps and I would agree that most of her characters are cut from the same fabric. Aging creepy guy, who seems half crazy but chillingly "rational" at the same time.
