    I haven't seen this movie since I was a very small child, when it aired on TV. I think I'm going to rent it.



    Did anyone ever see the mini-series that aired on ABC in the late 90s; apparently King was more satisfied with that one than the 1980 film with Nicholson.

    I never saw the miniseries and I've only seen bits and pieces of the movie, I could never really get into that one.

    I always liked Kubrick's version but I'm glad I saw it before I read the book because it diverged so much from it. I saw the mini series as well which was much more faithful to the book because of King's involvment.

    I never saw the mini-series (never knew it had one!), but I have the Kubrick version on DVD. Really creepy, scary movie!
