    Hi all,

I love this movie! I'm surprised at how unpopular it is, despite being a classic film. It's one of those films that isn't funny ha-ha, but you've got to look closely to see the humor. Bogart is perfect as the sloppy boat captain with his "I've-got-it-made" attitude" when he falls in love with the uptight, bossy Katharine Hepburn. Not to mention it also brought Bogie his only - and well-deserved - Oscar.

Anybody else see this film? Opinions?

Why do you think it's unpopular, Mandy?

Well, it just seems unpopular to me. I guess what I mean is I'm surprised it's not more well-known and more celebrated. Ho-hum, that's just me, I guess. confused

Perhaps it's more accurate to call it "underappreciated".
