I stayed over night when I had my tonsils out. I was admitted when I had four severely impacted wisdom teeth removed but I don’t remember if I was there over night.

First time was as a child in the early '50s having tonsils taken out. They used ether to put me out.
Next was in India to remove an epididymal cyst. Room was sparse, OR had open windows hence it was on the second floor to cut down on dust from the street. I elected to walk up the stairs to the OR instead of being carried up on a stretcher by two thin Indian guys.
Third was a bilateral inguinal hernia repair in a Miami hospital where no one spoke English. Fortunately I have travel Espaňol.
Third was an ORIF to my left Tibia, meaning they cut my leg open and performed carpentry on the big bone using a metal plate and 12 screws.
So, just 4 times in the hospital.

Same as other folks, had my tonsils taken out. For some reason, I remember enjoying. Definitely don't wanna have to go in for any reason anytime soon though. Unless I'm giving birth.

I've only been hospitalized once, and that was for several hours. I had a benign tumor in my right breast that I needed removed. They knocked me out cold with anesthesia and I woke up about an hour later. I got to go home a few hours later. I had a bang-up surgeon who did a great job.

When I was 3, 8, 9 and 14 I had to stay in the hospital for severe asthma attacks. The last time was bad because I also had Pneumonia on top of it and was on the verge of death. The times before was only approx. 2-3 days, but that last time I was there a week.

When I was 15 I slipped off the front porch and broke my leg. Had to stay in the hospital for a few days.

I have five kids and no home births (although I planned to). So, those were all hospital stays. Plus I had pneumonia in 2007. I cut off the tip of my thumb in July and then I had hand surgery in November, but the last two were just one day things.
