If you bought a house or rented an apartment instead of spending a decade living in a motel room, you wouldn't be interrupted by nosy door opening staff. It boggles me that he's still living there.

I stopped trying to reconcile the idiocy of John still living in that hovel a while ago. The producers are just too cheap to invest in a new set, or to at least redesign that one into something else.

It reminds me of Ina Hopkins boarding house back in the 80's when everyone lived there and they could well afford apartments of their own.

Its the crazy that this grown man was planning to move his wife and baby in to a motel room. He owns a bar, I am sure he can convert the basement in to a living area.

The basement, a 2nd floor above the bar, something, anything, but where he lives. M&M weren't much better, though, keeping Sam in that hovel and denying him his rightful family.
