    I had always wanted to see a colorized version of House on Haunted Hill and was kind of let down when I actually saw it. The colorized Bringing up Baby was good though.

    My problem with the colorization of the B&W films is how phony it tends to look; they colors are usually akin to a box of crayons. I'm sure their tint weren't quite that orange/red in real life.

    B & W fotografy has its beauty and there was great care in some of those early films to get the most appealing nuance of shading and contrast.

    Then some rich asshole comes along and destroys that work of art. For what? To make it more popular amongst the barbarians who do not understand the beauty of B & W film?

    I wonder if old ted ever thot of publishing a coffee table book of Ansel Adams fotos - in color. Maybe paint the Pieta in flesh tones. Or gild lilies.
