As much as I love to read cook books, I never got into cooking shows. Usually they have random ingredients that I don't have and am too cheap to buy.

someone i cant stand to watch tho is that crazy lady, dunno her name, but her outfits always matches her kitchen and food she makes, i dunno, somethin wrong with her.

My wife really likes the cooking competition shows. They're not instructional in nature. I don't regularly watch the "how to" ones if I'm channel surfing and something looks good. We'll try and make something every now and then but no, we don't "cook along".

On occasion. If I do, it's usually Rachael Ray or Paula Deen. Very rarely do I ever cook along with the show though,

All the time! Love Rachael Ray, Bam guy and woman off "worst cooks in America" I am terrible with names! LOVE her! Loved that show also. Watch chopped a lot. Iron chef is good also. My children love the food network also.

Yup - I have but have never tried actually cooking with them as I'd be running back and forth from the kitchen to the living room. I like getting ideas from the shows, though, and sometimes try things out.

Not intentionally. If I do it's because I wasn't paying close enough attention to the TV when they came on and just sort of arbitrary kept glancing at it....not realizing I'm getting into it.
