There are a few around here somewhere, but I've never been to a drive in movie. I want to try it one day.

I went years ago in or around Chicago. I was too young to recall if it was in or outside Chicago.

They were usually out in the 'burbs and were quite common when I was a kid. Our village of St. Ann Mo. had two, one with a couple screens and the other was a 4-screen.
Some charged by the # of ppl in the car, and I once went in the trunk (common practice with teen boys).
There are no more drive-ins in St. Ann. The Airway is now a shopping center but they left the sign due to its artistic/historic value of a by-gone era.
Oh, for you drivers, a bit of nostalgia in that pic. Look at the gas price.

There used to be one out east Long Island but I think its gone. I have never been to one.

the one an only i went to a drive in was a few years ago. they set it up at the fair grounds, and i seen transformers. went with my cuz and 2 of our nephews. they dont set that up anymore. it was kool tho.
