Not one I'd care to see again anytime soon but I did buy the novelization.

I've only seen that movie once, and I really don't remember too much about it. It doesn't seem that scary.

I've seen it a number of times. A couple of scenes stand out for me. When Craig T. Nelson's boss takes him up on the hill to show him the view from what could be his new living room and then the camera changes POV and you see what they were standing in front of - a cemetary. When Zelda Rubenstein explains to them what's going on...how Carol Anne is trapped between worlds with The Beast. When she's done she says, "Now let's go get your daughter" like it's time to go kick some Beast ass.

And how odd that that woman who played Tangina, a midget, died only recently when other members of the movie died so young.

I read when the clown grabbed the boy by the neck and was choking him, something went wrong and the kid really was being choked and Spielberg thought he was just doing a great job acting, until he saw the boy was turning blue!

Yeah I read about her. Her killer got a very light sentence, so when he got out, and got a job at a restaurant, her family left notes on all the tables telling them 'the hands that prepared your meal this evening took our daughter's life', and he was quickly fired, lucky break for the bastard.

Did you ever see the series on Showtime Poltergeist the Legacy? It was quite good.
