Has anyone ever given you or have you given anyone a surprise party? Birthday, bridal, baby, bachelor? My sister-in-law is giving my wife's brother a surprise 50th in a couple of weeks so I thought I'd ask. I gave my wife a surprise 40th and my brother snuck my bachelor party on me.

I don't care for B'day parties, surprise or otherwise. I like to reflect on my life slowly ticking away alone.
I have been called to the conference room at work (not unusual) to find all my coworkers and a cake for me. Being the brunt of a secret conspiracy, even for a good thing is still unnerving. (It may be a Scorpio thing).

Add me to the list of people who has never had a surprise party. I'm ok with that though because I don't like surprises. What if I come home and everyone yells surprise on a day that I was tired and not in the mood to celebrate?

I've had 2 surprise parties that I can think of and both times were okay, but I'm not in love with the thought of being subjected to them. Just so happen that both times turned out fine and I was in a good enough mood to have a good time but I could have easily not been in the mood and surprise parties I would imagine suck when the honoree is not in as good of spirits as the hosts.
