Obvious that she simply removed the twenty pounds of weave she usually wears and slicked what little hair she has back for the time being. She is most likely in between hair appointments. I doubt that this is a "new look" for her.

She's been sporting the short look quite a bit lately, but I agree that it's probably not permanent. I'm sure she'll be back to having hair down past her shoulders by years end.
