The Night Stalker

The original movie that gave life to the character of news reporter Carl Kolchak who uncovered the world of the undead, in what later became a weekly basis as he shifted from TV movies to TV show, which unfortunately only lasted one season.

Has anybody seen this movie? If you've seen the series Kolchak: the Night Stalker it's quite different but of course this is his beginning, of course things are going to be different but still if you see the show first you'll be surprised. All the same it still has the creepy, nervewracking atmosphere of all the TV episodes.

Yes and some of the TV series. Richard Matheson wrote this too.

The one who wrote I Am Legend? I was surprised to see he's still alive actually.

And Jeff Rice wrote the novelizations for the two movies, this and The Night Strangler, another very good movie that jump started Kolchak's TV career.
