Asked about Crash, may as well ask about its Oscar competitor. Did you see Brokeback Mountain? If so, what did you think of it?

Re: Brokeback Mountain (2005)
I have it & really like it. Made me cry. And I don't mean "tear up". Wasn't expecting it to have that effect. I thought everyone involved with the making of this movie did a great job.
And damn I miss Heath Ledger.

Re: Brokeback Mountain (2005)
I really liked it and the fact that it dispels a myth about homosexuals being other than regular guys.
Oh, and I'm in love with Jake Gyllenhaal.
I just wish:
That said, I don't think the story is all that realistic. It was written by a woman and from my experience with guys, Jake's character would not have been coming back to Heath's character all those years.
I have made it with really great guys that I loved and would love to do them again but IDK of any gay guys who would do a "Same Time Next Year" thing for decades.

Am I the only gay man alive who didn't like this movie?

Hehe. I like romance, too, though. Like Shelter, which I think is one of the best gay flicks ever filmed.
But Brokeback Mountain... I dunno. Soooo mellow-dramatic.

I actually saw that a couple of years ago I can't remember that much about it other than the guy was after his brother's friend and there was his sister that kept leaving her kid with him. I liked it. My favorite is Latter Days, it had a story, the acting was good and it was believable.

Latter Days was okay. I'm usually not into the coming-out genre, but that one, Shelter and Get Real were good movies.

I actually think I liked Get Real more than Shelter. That was sort of a coming out movie since the lead guy did come out at school.
