I usually do the digital cable music stations for my mix unless it is an outside thing, then I have mix cd's ready for the stereo outside.

Aside from my daughter's friends, I never have guests over so I don't have to worry about music. I'm either working, or my husband has some weird-ass excuse why he doesn't want company, so after years of giving in to his idiosyncracies, we basically have no friends. I'm working on getting a life myself, but that may not necessarily include him in the long run, if he doesn't snap out of his "Hermit in the Ivory Tower" bit. I don't plan to be isolated and lonely for the rest of my life just because he has hangups about everything and condescends constantly, but he can do what he wants.

We have music stations on our cable line up. On the rare occassion when we play tunes we'll put one of them one.
