    One of the things I enjoy about The Chamber is the absence of sports talk for the most part but does anyone like any movies that have some kind of sport theme?

    For example:
    Rocky, Raging Bull, The Setup
    Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, Eight Men Out
    Rudy, Remember the Titans, North Dallas Forty, Paper Lion
    Breaking Away, American Flyers
    Chariots of Fire, Personal Best
    Miracle, Slap Shot

    A League of Their Own, and Rocky. The best sports movies aren't really about sports.

    I am football impaired, I cannot make sense of the game. Any Given Sunday- I could not understand it.

    I like some of them. Rudy was good; I also liked The Babe, Prefontaine, Rookie of the Year, Ali, the original Rocky, and even Mighty Ducks.

    i haven't seen a whole of sports movies, a league of their own was good.. would u consider the sandlot a sports movie? Smile i liked the rocky movies...Gladiator (the one that came out in 91 i believe and was about underground boxing)

    LOL You're killing me cheaps Smalls. If ABC Wide World of Sports can cover the Spassky-Fisher World Chess Campionship and ESPN can cover The World Series of Poker, we can call The Sand Lot a sports movie.

    Chris, if you liked Prefontaine, please watch Without Limits. It is the other movie made about Pre and while I have not seen Prefontaine, articles say that Without Limits is more accurate. And it is on youtube in parts. Very, very good movie.

    Altho Invictus was all about the South African transition from apartheid, it focused on the National Rugby team the Springboks and was all about Rugby, a game I knew nothing about until this movie.

    I am not into sports at all.

    I've seen some great ones - not into boxing movies at ALL 'cause I hate the sport but I've seen other good sports movies like 'The Blind Side" and movies like that. Smile
