Many people know the Joe McGuiness book Fatal Vision that was made into a TV movie. It tells the story of the Ft. Bragg Green Beret, Dr. Jeffrey McDonald who was found guilty of murdering his pregnant wife, Colette, and their two small daughters in the early 70s.
McDonald always stuck to his story that a group of hippies entered his home and attacked him. A woman in a floppy hat, blonde wig was holding a candle and repeating "Acid is Groovy, kill the pigs". The army investigated, held a hearing and determined he wasnt responsible. Nine years later, in a federal court, he was tried and found guilty. He is still in jail today.
The second book, Fatal Justice was writing by his defense team and refute allegation made by Fatal Vision. It supplies proof that the crime scene was ridiculously contaminated, and that evidence was no introduced that could free him. Even eyewitnesses were discounted.
Has anyone read either of these or both? what were your thoughts?
