Has anybody here ever done this? It's supposed to be illegal since it's defamation to money, but seriously who cares about a few pennies? Of course the thing I always wondered is WHY pennies when nickels are so much thicker and what would they look like flattened?

We used to do that as kids put the pennies on the track just before the train came rolling in. I guess we got a kick out of the flattened penny. It was pretty lame but this is what kids do.

I think it is only illegal to do it with fraudulent intent so if you don't try to spend the flattened coin you shouldn’t be guilty of a crime. As far as I know, those arcade coin press machines are still in use.

If you were lucky it would bounce off the track after one wheel so the penny would be flat and oval shaped and you could still see the image and words on it.

Okay....someone please explain to me what was the purpose of that. I heard it was supposed to be symbolic of something.
