Can Anyone Recommend a Good Tablet?
I have been thinking about buying a Tablet but I want one with a USB port. I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy but it dosen't have a USB Port. Anyone?? I know very little about tablets.

If I had to go with one, I'd want the Motorola Xoom.
But overall, they just aren't that useful in comparison to some of the laptops that are half the price.

I was looking at the Motorola Xoom just now. It does have a usb port. I want something smaller than a laptop thats why I was looking at the tablets. Just something to take with me when I am in the mood to play.

Hmm. Well, the Xoom is running the Honeycomb version of Android, which is SICK. I wish it was on my phone.
Just don't go with the iPad... it's extraordinarily limited in what it can do in comparison.
www.cnettv.com has some of the best short reviews on tablets.

I had already ruled out the Ipad, I want something a bit more versatile that that. I don't know anything about honeycomb version of Android, I guess that is good?? Thanx for the link I am going to check it out.

^^ Just take their iPad reviews with a grain of salt. They give massive points to anything that's simple. And while it is very simple... it's also very limited.
I'm glad you've ruled it out. I think the Xoom is the best out there in the mainstream.
The HP Touchpad, running WebOS, is lame because it has very few apps. Same goes for the Blackberry Playbook, which is a dying cause IMO.
I'd recommend an Android tablet. And I know that Xoom runs Honeycomb, which is the tablet-version of Android. Most Android tablets are running Froyo or Gingerbread, which really aren't optimized for tablet function.
...should I just come to Manhattan and go shopping with you?

I have to go to a store and actually look at the Xoom and see if it will satisfy my needs. I appreciate your offer of helping me with the shopping though

I've never seen that one, but I'm not a fan of Toshiba's products generally. Have you tried it out in a store?

No not yet I am just looking right now. I stumbled on this one and it has SD card, USB, mini-USB and full size HDMI ports which is a plus right there. It is powered by Android 3.1, Honeycomb and you said that is good right? I am still keeping the Xoom in mind as well.

Sounds like that's all good! Just make sure you read a lot of reviews. Amazon, CNET, etc.
