Tomorrow's my birthday and I got a little bottle of J. Roget Spumante, the lady at the store said it was a sweet one, can anybody here testify to that? I had Andre last year and that stuff tasted like turpentine or something.

It just means a sparkling wine or champagne.

Yes. Though what I found odd is they didn't card me, I don't think I look THAT old.

I remember when I turned 21, I didn't get carded quite a few times when I bought liquor. I remember thinking "Damn, if it was this easy to buy alcohol, I coulda been buying alcohol for years"

Yeah, really. I told my mom about it and the only thing she could come up with is it was daytime, school hours, and who underage would go to buy alcohol and risk being seen out of school? I don't know how much truth there is to that but it seemed logical to me.

Well, I tried that stuff tonight and I certainly can't recommend it, I suppose for its price I shouldn't be surprised it was so awful. the lady at the store said it was a sweeter wine, I say she LIED. Turpentine once again.

lol... maybe u just arent used to wine/champagne? i like Asti spumante... it is much sweeter than other alcoholic beverages. i dont like bitter tastes, or the burning sensation that dark rum leaves in the back of the throat

I've tried 3 kinds of Andre: regular, strawberry and peach, the first two were awful but the peach was slightly tolerable. As it stands I've only had it for my birthday the last couple of years. Just out of curiosity, W2L, any opinion on how Cold Duck is?

Thanks. It was a good one. Though it's funny, I don't feel 22, I don't feel any age, I feel like somebody wiped my number out and didn't put a new one in.

Just wondering. Did your bottle have a cork or twist top?

Twist, I'm too cheap to get the corked stuff.

That's why the ones you have been trying have been trash. If you're not going to pop for the good stuff, then don't even bother.
