    I've always wanted to go to Chicago, to see if I can find Resurrection Mary!


    But boy, if I had that opportunity...I don't know, there are a few places I'd like to go see, but I think to Florida because I want to see Disney World, and we have a friend there who goes to a casino where the games only cost 8 cents and she can win like $200 at a time, I wouldn't mind trying my luck with that.

    You may be lucky, but I don't even gamble and know that the games don't pay out well.

    Probably so but at 8 cents a game, you can afford to try your luck, not like games with a $5 minimum.

    Probably back to Alaska. been to many of the places i really wanted to visit, including chicago Wink

    I wasnt able to go dogsledding cause a storm hit, so back to alaska i would go

    Back to NYC.

    I took a solo trip to Manhattan for 10 days in '08, and didn't see nearly what I hoped to. It was supposed to be my only time there, but I've had an urge to go back and start where I left off.

    Would never want to live there, though.

    Grand Canyon is awesome! I went there 4 years ago when I visited my parents who live in Phoenix. I do have a paralyzing fear of heights, though, so I couldn't go too near the edge without feeling like I was being sucked in and about to fall--lol.

    You can stay in Williams, AZ and take the Canyon Train up to the Canyon itself (about a 40 min trip, one way). The train depot has its own hotel right on a loop of historic Route 66, they feed you, do a wild-west show before the train departs, and on the way back, "bandits" ride up on horses and hold up the train, board it and rob you! You have to give them something like a dollar, or whatever you have in your pocket at the time--I gave them a Hertz rent-a-car coupon and told them they can rent a "Mustang" next time in case their own Mustangs got tired of chasing the train! LOL big grin

    Sedona is beautiful, too, out there, but if I had a week to myself, I'd road-trip it to whereever I could within that time frame to see whatever I could.

    Another great website for quirky, offbeat things to do in the USA is www.roadsideamerica.com --you can find all sorts of off the wall places to go, things to do and see on that site.
