Has anyone not heard about this yet? I've been following the story and this is part of the latest article I've read

Lippestad said his client was willing to explain himself in a court hearing on Monday. The court will decide at the hearing whether to keep the suspect in detention pending his trial.

If convicted on the terrorism charges, he would face a maximum of 21 years in jail, police said.

21 years max and maybe they'll keep him locked up?

I'm baffled.

He killed almost 100 people. Not even allegedly. He said he did it. 21 years makes no sense. There's no justice in that.

And this time it can't be blamed on America's joke of a legal system, that's what I think is going to be the biggest shocker for a lot of people.


Necessary eh? I'm sure we'd all just LOVE to hear why he HAD to kill 92 people. What's everybody thinking, insanity or is it Manchurian Candidate or what?

I think the article is misleading. The TERRORISM charges carry a max of 21 years. I would hope any sensible prosecutor would charge him for 100 murders and hopefully first-degree murder carries a stiffer penalty.

I was following this. It kind of scares me cause it shows me that the stuff that happens in my books can definitely happen in real life. It's really scary to think how deranged some people are.

Justice will be done! I just read he's being kicked out of the Masons.

At another site people who live there say they don't. They also said the 21 year max sentence won't be stacked or apply to each charge. According to them the 21 years is the total max sentence, period. They also said he would probably be parole eligible within 14.

That is sickening. What the fuck were they thinking when they put a limit on locking up pschopathic terrorists forever? I hope some vigilante serving his 21 years for killing someone gives this guy a shiv for murdering children.

I am sure many are happy that he won't have to pay for this...

^^he's not only not going to pay for it he's going to have a wonderful time in his nice room, dining in the dining room, rock climbing, sunbathing on the deck & then finishing his day in a nicer shower than most of us probably have.

Actually, I've decided to retire to Norway. Go there on vacation and rob a bank or something.
