    Scoops & Spoilers
Previews for the week of 25-Jul-2011
    by Carol Banks Weber

    • Dorian interrupts Todd and Agent Baker’s top-secret, heated caucus.

    • Agent Baker fibs to Dorian about his real identity, saying he’s just Todd’s head of security.

    • Another agent rings Agent Baker up with daunting news that the Man with the Scar resurfaced, completely bullet-free.

    • Angered that he did not kill the MWS, Agent Baker tries to go after him again.

    • Tomas owns up to a huge, Todd-related secret, which floors Téa.

    • The MWS goes to John to give him a leg up and have police backup.

    • John gives MWS very little breathing room, already thinking he smells a scam.

    • Circumstances bring John and the MWS together, as they face down a hail of bullets.

    • Their narrow escape with death convinces John that MWS is kind of on the level.

    • John and the MWS have a chance to work together to uncover this mystery, but they don’t have much time, as there is an enemy hot on their trail.

    • John holes up the MWS in his Angel Square Hotel room, for safe-keeping.

    • Téa tries to get to the bottom of the Todd mystery with John, directly.

    • Before Téa can spot him, MWS slips into the shadows, just as she walks in to speak with John.

    • MWS listens to every word between Téa and John.

    • Téa brings John up to date on Tomas’s real identity as a CIA operative sent to keep Todd from getting hurt during an assassination attempt.

    • Todd and Téa work out their differences. It helps when Todd says all the right things to put Téa off any suspicions.

    • John procures a DNA sample from MWS, then orders him to stay put while going out again to fetch Todd’s DNA.

    • When John goes to leave, to procure DNA from Todd, MWS stays behind to man the fort.

    • John’s phone ring-a-lings, prompting MWS to answer as the officer of the law.

    • It’s Tomas on the other line, as MWS—pretending to be John—keeps him talking. In the shadows, with Tomas unaware, Baz leans in closer. That is, until Téa and Dani stroll in.

    • Before Téa and Dani have Tomas’s full attention, he’s able to arrange a caucus with John (aka MWS) for later on, when Vicker Man premieres.

    • Roxy almost stumbles upon something that does her in.

    • John means to procure DNA from Todd Manning’s office, but then the man himself shows up.

    • John puts Todd off with an elucidation, then goes back out.

    • John does his best to shake Todd’s shadow.

    • As soon as John walks through the door back to his place, MWS comes out with it that Tomas phoned, and he acted as if he was John. Oh, btw, Tomas expects to rendez-vous with John at the premiere.

    • Tomas unburdens himself with Blair.

    • Those involved in the Todd Mystery demand to be heard and for someone in charge to clear the mystery up.

    • Tunnel-visioned, paranoid Jack pays the Todd mystery no mind. To him, John’s only using this to close the bullying case.

    • Natalie and Brody move forward with their leftovers as a second-best, makeshift couple. They start by shacking up at a place of their own, away from the Angel Square Motel.

    • Brody secures his good thing with Natalie and Liam by bullying Vimal to STFU.

    • It’s time for Clint to face the prison music.

    • Viki becomes acutely aware of Jessica liking Ford a lot more.

    • James tries to put Ford off of falling too much for Jessica.

    • Viki opts to be with Clint as he’s led away to Statesville, while opting out of the Vicker Man premiere.

    • Rex commands Clint to induce Dorian to let Echo off the hook—or else.

    • Clint is disturbed by Rex’s Clint-like demeanor. The kid has no soul anymore.

    • David passes on to Dorian Echo’s status as a free bird.

    • Rex ups the ante against the Mannings.

    • Vivian inquires of Destiny as to whether the stork will soon visit.

    • Rama pitches in, all for Vimal when he’s most in dire straits.

    • Rama lies to Vimal’s mom, to protect him from catching hell for his charade.

    • Roxy opens up a position for Rama.

    • Cristian bats around a brainchild for Rama’s non-pregnancy woes, out of left field.

    • Nothing works out for Vimal and Rama. They must drop the charade.

    • David and Dorian focus on the upcoming red carpet debut of Vicker Man.

    • Blair consents to be Tomas’s date to the Vicker Man premiere.

    • Blair has on earrings Todd gave her at their first wedding, which Tomas – and MWS, lurking in the premiere background – perceive. But strangely enough, Todd Manning himself doesn’t make the association.

    • Jack wants to bail on the lame premiere, but his dad Todd won’t let him. They’ll be there, together.

    • The Vicker Man premiere features lots of catty confrontation and drama, drama, drama, off-screen. But no sign of the actual Vicker Man movie.

    • The Manning tribe converges on the Vicker Man red carpet premiere, like a swarm of locusts.

    • MWS makes his way to the premiere, to observe unobserved from the sidelines.

    • Agent Baker gets in the way of the MWS before he has a chance to make it to the premiere.

    • MWS and Agent Baker have an intense run-in.

    • Agent Baker prepares to finish the job on the MWS, then head John and Tomas off at the pass at the Palace Hotel – but then the MWS pulls a double-agent James Bond maneuver.

    • MWS disables Agent Baker, wears his tux, and brandishes his weapon, then takes off for the premiere.

    • Vicker Man director Markko struts around at the premiere like he’s the big man on Mulberry Street, making fun of Ford, who’s there as the hired help.

    • Markko dishes the dirt (who’s Baz?) with Starr, while at the premiere.

    • A gun-toting Rex observes the Vicker Man proceedings from the sidelines, and seethes with hatred as Blair and Tea strut around alive while his precious Gigi is dead.

    • Ionia makes a pest of herself at the premiere, pissing Dorian off—just
as reporter Blanca Morales slinks around with her microphone. Rowr.

    • John tries to take Tomas aside for a specific line of questioning.

    • Once safely ensconced at the Palace, Tomas discloses his CIA-operative affiliation and when things went wrong with some evil elements to John. Todd’s role too.

    • Dani prostrates herself before boyfriend Nate for her faithlessness in their relationship, not realizing (yet) what he did with Deanna.

    • Nate loses his lunch at the sight of Rick, the porno king, attending the Vicker Man premiere as well, like he belongs there, which he doesn’t.

    • Rick does a lot of subterfuge-bloviating around Ford and Nate, not quite saying Nate’s in a porno, but hinting a whole helluva lot.

    • Rick switches Vicker Man with his new porno, Hold The Diploma, featuring Nate and Deanna—for all of the Llanview world to see, including poor, duped Dani.

    • Starr and Baz swap Daddy Dearest stories.

    • Baz gives Starr a smooch to end all smooches.

    • Shane’s state agonizes Rex, who’s gone off the deep end.

    • Rex lifts his loaded weapon at Todd and his tribe, finger on the hair-trigger.

    • MWS makes his hasty getaway from the doomed movie premiere—before getting nabbed.

    • Markko, David, and Dorian converge on Rick, demanding he bring them back the Vicker Man premiere.

    • Tomas enlightens the Manning tribe about a few facts, previously hidden.

    • Next week: One of the two Todds faces jail time and charges… Viki meets the man who resembles her brother, pre-plastic surgery… Starr gets in a few pointed words to “Todd,” to try to sort this out… By the end of this week, John points out the real Todd to everybody concerned, based on his DNA results… Gigi’s spirit has a word with Rex. Perhaps she can straighten him out… Nora and Bo have a change of heart about allowing Clint to fall on his sword for Matthew.
