Do you think that criminals should be able to profit from selling their memoirs, after serving jail time (or even during)?

They need to make money somehow because you know people have problems giving regular criminals a job....much less the infamous ones. If they can make money doing something that's not illegal, I can't hate on it.

Except Son of Sam law changed that so they CAN'T profit off it anymore, and I say good. Why should they make money off their retelling of how they killed somebody or embezzled millions of dollars or whatever?

yeah, they cant. But their spouses CAN. Believe that one? There is a mob wife who wrote her husband's whole life story in a few different books and is making a killing. He will never get out of jail, but she is living large, and supporting him with commissary money. I understand that she needs to live, and it wasnt his fault that he was a mob hitman, but still, its blood money either way.
