Almost every time I take a shower, I masturbate. Something about the steam arouses me.

Lol. I thought EVERYONE did that! Seriously, I do that every shower it seems like (unless I'm in a rush and need to take a quick shower).Tony Marino wrote:Another masturbatory question, how many actually masturbate in the shower to full ejaculation or ladies to orgasm??

Oh, I do it in bed too, lol. I usually do it more than once a day so there are plenty of places and oppertunaties for me. The bed is the preferred place, but I do it in the shower too just because I'm always horny and it's convenient.Tony Marino wrote:
I generally like to use the bed, rubbing one out in the shower seems too fast and less erotic.

justme wrote:I think masturbation is a selfish and pathetic form of self-manipulation and self-abuse, especially if one has a wife (or at least a girlfriend, geez). I believe it distorts your perception of sex and your expectations and perspective on what makes a healthy, natural sexual relationship with someone of the opposite sex, and leads to addiction and obsession with sex (as is quite obvious and proven by even a cursory perusal of this thread).
There are a lot of ways to release stress--Go running, work out, take a shower, work on a meaningful and constructive project, play sports, take up a hobby, read a book. You won't explode, and then it will mean more when you actually share the experience with someone who means something to you.
An all-around bad habit. Thought it was worth having at least one dissenting viewpoint on here. Just my 2¢.

Demonstrate some self-control already (not to mention respect for your body). You won't explode, and then it will mean more and feel better when you actually share the experience with someone who means something to you.

I believe that you are not a male. Geez!justme wrote:I think masturbation is a selfish and pathetic form of self-manipulation and self-abuse, especially if one has a wife (or at least a girlfriend, geez).

Well it's a good thing that you don't know what you are talking about because psycholgists and sexual health EXPERTS say that masturbation is normal and healthy. So unless you have a degree in biology, psychology or sexual health, STFU!justme wrote:and leads to addiction and obsession with sex (as is quite obvious and proven by even a cursory perusal of this thread).
Yeah, I'm sure these things have NEVER occured to the average teenage boy around the world!justme wrote:There are a lot of ways to release stress--Go running, work out, take a shower, work on a meaningful and constructive project, play sports, take up a hobby, read a book.
How exactly would you know this?justme wrote:Demonstrate some self-control already (not to mention respect for your body). You won't explode, and then it will mean more and feel better when you actually share the experience with someone who means something to you.
I hope your post is in sarcasm, otherwise it's pretty sad if there are people in the world that actually still think like this. No offense!justme wrote:An all-around bad habit. Thought it was worth having at least one dissenting viewpoint on here. Just my 2¢
True, but masturbation is. Therein lies the difference.justme wrote:A lot of behaviors feel good, even "natural," that doesn't mean they're all advisable.
Sure. The part you don't seem to undertand is that not everyone is married and some people think it's a good idea to save themselves for marriage (ie: not have premarital sex). There are also people who are married but seperated from each other for long periods of time. In these cases, masturbation is perfectly acceptable! Are you advocating that everyone who gets horny should go out and get married, or that everyone should be having sex with their boyfriend or girlfriends whenever they have the urge? To me, self control means knowing when is a good time to do it and when it's best not to do it. But to say that nobody should ever do it is kind of ridiculous!justme wrote:And anyway, why do we have to indulge every single urge that we feel? Isn't there anything to be said for self-control and saving certain things for certain times and certain places (and with certain people)?
Again, this would only be a compelling argument if we assumed that you actually knew what you were talking about. But since all of the sexologists out there pretty much disagree with you on this issue, I'm going to have to raist the BS flag!justme wrote:It takes all concept of responsibility and companionable love out of sex. Your inability to concentrate or perform ordinary tasks until you "relieve" yourself is perfect illustration of my point--it's become an addiction. It turns you into a slave of your own self.
That's about the dumbest logic that I've ever heard. Any man that doesn't masturbate is either dead, had his arms amputated, or lying! It would be abnormal for a man NOT to masturbate, PERIOD! That's my two cents.justme wrote:Masturbation: It makes you feel like a man without requiring you to be one.
How do you figure?justme wrote:And you provide even less credibility than you seem to allow that I show regarding my point of view.
So basically, you're saying that you are smarter than all the other psychologists that are more popular than you and who've basically said the opposite of everything that you've said?justme wrote:(Though I should point out that I do have more than the average amount of experience in the study of psychology, whatever assumptions about me you might have made, or whatever conclusions you may have jump to.) If my views are unpopular or generally unspoken or unheard, it's because people have forgotten them or become lax in their standards--Maybe due to indulgence in addictive sexual behaviors?...
But are you married and/or have a girlfriend? By the way, you never answered that part either. What if a guy has no partner, is masturbation still "wrong" then?justme wrote:I am a male, I am being anything but sarcastic, I know what I'm talking about, and I do not masturbate, period. Seriously? :justme wrote:I know when a certain opinion is no longer welcome. I'm out.

P.S. ^^ "Prostrate" health?...
wesley wrote:Yeah, chillax! Your opinion is welcome even if I disagree with it. I was just curious as to what could made you have come to such a radically different conclusion about masturbation than most other people? I mean really, you have to admit your opinion is a rather "old fashoned" way of thinking. I just don't see the harm in something that doctors say is normal and something that everyone does.
I don't know if this counts because I've never actually been "caught" before, but I've done it openly in front of people so I've been "seen" doing it. Long story, lol!Marc™ wrote:Masturbatory question:

I'm not really sure if I should be telling this story or not but it wasn't actually in front of people since there was nobody else there. I've recorded myself jerking it on camera and e-mailed it to a girl at my school who wanted to see it after I told her. She had a huge crush on me. Anyways, she wasn't the only one who's seen it and I probably could have gotten in a whole lot of trouble by doing that, but fortunately nobody "important" ever found out I don't think. I kind of regret doing it now because it was illegal, but on the other hand I don't regret it because ever since then a number of people at my school have given me respect for having the balls to do that in the first place. So I gained a little bit of "status" as a result of doing something pornographic. At this point, so many people have probably seen it that I just don't care anymore, lol.Tony Marino wrote:
