It tasted a little funny to me. Was kinda bland, perhaps it was just the way it was prepared when I had it. A friend of mind said curried shark is delicious.

Well, I did not eat Smokey the bear, but I have eaten bear, which isn't at all uncommon here. They do hunt bear here, though it is a short season.
