    It would seem nobody here's familiar with the TV show Homicide, which Richard Belzer's character Munch (Law and Order SVU) originated on, but has anybody here read the true book by David Simon on what it was really like being with the Baltimore homicide unit for a year? I got my mother the book for her birthday because we're both big fans of the show but neither of us has gotten around to reading it yet.
