What's it like having siblings?

I'm an only child and I always wanted a brother or sister when I was younger. Now that I'm older I'm kinda over it but still always wish I had that bond.

I'm 6 years older than my brother and until he got to be a teenager we were like cats and dogs. Over the years, we grew to be very close.

I am five years older than my sister. Until she came along I was the center of attention, so there was some resentment at the interloper. But we're cool now.

There was no real memorable childhood interaction. She was much younger and I hung out with my male friends. So younger sister was a non-entity in my world.

I have 6 of them and it can be a plague or it can be the most wonderful thing in the world. My brother who is 3 years older than me, we used to be at each all the time growing up. We would fight day and night and this went on up until before he got married. Something changed and now we are the best of friends. I guess we both grew up. When we are together we are still silly and laugh and joke about the things we did to one another growing up and we love to make fun of our other siblings. Even though they all can be a pain in the ass at times I would not trade them in for all the money in the world.

I just have one biological brother but I also have a sister-in-law and there are friends I consider siblings. Growing up, my brother and I were the best of friends and the worst of enemies. We fought like crazy one day and could be best friends the next. The teen years were tough, as my brother got in with a group who weren't really bad kids, but the attitudes made them pretty hard to be with. ONe of the kids was older, but REALLY immature, so he fit better with the kids my brother's age, who were two years younger. He was a total jerk and my brother picked up a lot of his bad habbits, so that made things pretty tough when we were in our mid to late teen years.

Now, though, we're really close, though there are still times I"d love to strangle him.

I have three older half brothers, a younger brother and a baby sister. I didn't grow up with my half brothers, so you can take them out of the picture. My sister was born when I was 19, so you can push her out too. Growing up, it was just my and my little brother who is 5 yrs younger. It was pretty cool. Fortunately for me, he wasn't the type of kid who would always follow me everywhere. He pretty much did his thing and I did mine. I had fun bossing him around though.

Sometimes it's good, sometimes you wish you were an only child, but I think the latter mostly occurs during childhood and is eventually grown out of.

It's interesting. I have an older brother 9 yrs my senior. I always wanted to do guy things with him when I was a kid because I wanted to be just like him....now on a good day, I want to just throttle him lol. Love him dearly, just can't live with him too well.

Literally a blessing and a curse. I got 10 brothers & sisters (including stepsibs). Its good to know you are never alone and dont gotta deal with family problems by yourself but you gotta deal with competition, attention seeking, control freaks, conspiracies & gang mentality. PLUS your own shit mysteriously disappearing.

i have 3 sis 1 bro from 36-51 there were terrible fights including roller skates n broken legs but as adults we made one's prob everyone's prob losing my sis really sux
