I went out this morning around six, and it was chilly. Chillier than it's been in a while. Do you think summer weather is beginning to taper off?

Slightly but we always get these phases. It's also likely due to how hot it's been too. We'll get more heat. And heck, 60's is never chilly for me. lol

I cant tell but I dont think so. I think we still got at least another 3-4 weeks of peak temps coming before summer starts cooling down.

Yes, last week it was near 100, today it is 70, maybe 80 for the high which means a top of 90 in the sun, the other night it dropped to 59 for the low.

August is the hottest month if the year. Early September can be a beast too. Mother nature ain't through with summer yet.

I think the temperature drop is just the annual "taste of things to come"---a reminder that fall/winter is ahead, but then it will warm back up like it always does. Some of the leaves on the trees are actually starting to change color, here, but they do that every August, and it's always the same ones--older ones that are half-dead anyway, and get confused when the temperature changes like it's doing now.

Not yet. It's very pleasant today because the humidity is lower but it's still summer.

It has been just slightly cooler in the mornings, but the afternoons are still as hot as humid as ever.

I really think we've peaked. It's not that hot outside today, and yesterday when I went out at around seven-thirty in the afternoon, it wasn't hot either. It wasn't cold, but I could have been comfortable wearing a paur of long jeans.

We were nice for a while but are back to 100 today, we'll definitely be going swimming.

We might be done with the +90 temps but it's still warm around here. I'm not crazy about extremes but I'll take the dog days of summer over the dead of winter anyday.

The temp has broken....but I think it's becoming tolerable now. I can deal with 70s and low 80s.

As of yesterday we don't have that cloud of humidity hanging over us so it actually has been in the 60's in the morning and beautiful weather. However hurricane Irene is coming up the coast so we are in for more bad weather very very soon.
