To anyone who ever cheated in a relationship

Did you do it b/c the relationship was crap and you needed positive attention or was it because you just wanted the sex in front of you?

I haven't cheated in a relationship since I was in my late teens; reason I did it then was solely because I felt I couldn't help it. I was at school in Ohio, my girlfriend was in Michigan and playing phone/email tag just became not fulfilling enough. Not to excuse anything, but she played around too. We both eventually admitted our duplicity to each other, altered the relationship to more "casually-involved," and move forward.

Can I plead the 5th? LOL I have cheated before and for both reasons.....because sometimes the relationship was bad that it drove me into someone else's zone and because hey the opportunity to play happened and I couldn't resist.
