Have you ever been mistaken for another race, or ethnic group? Happens to me all the time. The one I hear the most is Hispanic; I've had people walk up and speak Spanish to me, or drop Spanish slang, like "Pa." I'm like, Sorry...no Espanol. Another time someone asked me if I was Middle Eastern.

I have been asked if I were Spanish, Greek or Middle Eastern. Not many hit it right the first time you would think the name would be a give away.

I have been asked if I was mixed. I'm like, "are you serious?" I don't think you can mistake me for anything other than black. I do get asked all the time if I'm Jamaican or from the islands though. I've been told I have a slight 'island twang' to my voice as well. Must be all the reggae music I listen to.

Once somebody told me I looked like a black puerto rican. Meh. No. Not really.

Some people think I look Jewish. I don't know how non yamaka wearing Jews look but whatever. I'm not. Irish baby!

Some American Jews can pass for Italian.

All the time. The most common is folks thinking that I'm either mixed or full latino, but I don't have a drop of latin blood in me. In fact I'm practically as white as you can get! lol I remember the weirdest guess someone made was that I was part Filipino...I was like, but I'm pale as fuck! Haha maybe I was just "guilty by association" since I kick it with a lot of Pinoy folks.

Me too. Everyone thinks I'm hispanic. One time me and my mom and sisters went to Texas to visit one of my mom's friends that lived down there. The day we arrived my moms friend's next door neighbors came outside and just stood there looking at us and smiling. They thought more Mexicans were moving in.

I have heard Greek, Irish, Middle Eastern and Italian. Because of my last name, some people correctly guess German. But a few have been shocked when I tell them that my mom is Mexican.

I probably do "look" Hispanic, but I'm totally not. I guess it's just what happens when you mix Arab and Italian.

Me too. I am always mistaken for Hispanic, and back in my days of going out a lot, I had many men approach me speaking Spanish.
