my dad did--- but he died and my mom trashed most of the stuff---- for which I want to strangle her. I do have some WWII stuff from Germany with our family name engraved 1934/35 and flags and stuff from a Lt. uncle who died in the war. I have that.
But my grandfather had lionel trains, that he gave to my dad that he kept for like 40 yrs. Today they would be like 80yrs old and I could strangle my mother!!!!

Yeah we have some, usually the older women will hold on to them and decide who gets them passed on to.
