Have any companies you were particularly fond of gone out of business? If so, what were they?

Re: Out of Business
My favorite Chinese restaurant closed down a few years ago, they reopened with a slightly different name and new owners. Although the reopening of the newer restaurant has become my favorite Chinese place... I still really do miss quite a few things from their older menu, before they shut down.

Re: Out of Business
Little locally owned restaurant. A little homestyle, a little Greek. Great place but the economy killed it. And although they didn't technically go out of business Kroger closed all their stores here. Miss that place.

Re: Out of Business
many of our local family owned businesses have gone under or been bought out by chains. I miss this one pharmacy---the owner was so nice, was a great boss, and would stay open as late as he had to to fill scripts if someone called and said that they couldnt get out of work until a certain time to get their kid's drugs or something like that

Re: Out of Business
Haven't thought of this in years but a couple of restaurants. Before Victoria Station went under in the 80's they had great ribs. They were beef ribs. All you could eat. They would start you off with 4 and go 2 at a time after. Most I could ever do was 6. Also Horn and Hardart, aka H&H or The Automat. They had the best baked beans!

Re: Out of Business
Forgot about Circuit City. Yeah, I would always hit them up before Best Buy. And they were cheaper. Can't believe they went out of business. I used to like The Wiz too.
