I know some of us here haven't reach that evil 3-0 yet, but to those who have; how did you celebrate it? If you're nearing it, do you have any plans?

Just had it last month, we went to dinner with family and friends. Since I share a birthday with my sister, we had gone out afterwards too. It was a lot of fun I hadn't gone out with my sister on our birthday in about 5 years at that point.

30 wasn't a good year for me--my daughter was born right before I turned 29, and with the cancer she had at the time, we were in and out of the hospital constantly that first year. If I recall, I was driving her into Boston in a blizzard on my 30th birthday for an exam.

Mine was ok. I was at a motocross race and my girlfriends really did it up for me there and it was pretty embarrassing, but also sweet.

I think I was in Turkey en route to India when I celebrated my first 30th B'day.
My next 30th B'day I was at work where I am now and my friends took me out to dinner.

A friend of mine was working a ten hour shift that day so I borrowed his condo and invited a handful of people over and we had a little get together. I wanted a bigger party, but I didn't plan it in time. Honestly 30 wasn't really hard for me, it's 40 that I fear.

I'm the exact opposite. Short of killing myself, I was pondering all sorts of ways to avoid turning thirty; I think forty will be easier. In fact, I think forty is a more attractive age to be than thirty-seven, thirty-eight and thirty-nine.

Hehe, I haven't reached 30 yet.
But God willing, I will either be throwing a big party for my b-day or I'm going to plan a big trip and make sure all of my people are able to come with me. I'm thinking of Hawaii.

Seems like a blur now. Nothing OTT, a few of my buds threw me a party at a bar. Smoked on the way there and on the way back. Got slightly hammered inside. Came home and went to bed--with a couple of female admirers.
