Pros and cons of going into autumn

What are the ups and downs that you can see to fall coming?

Pro:

Eventually the heat will die out and we can wear normal clothes again

The garden and lawn will eventually die out

The bugs will taper off

The AC can go off and the windows can open

And around here there's a lot of stuff in fall to look forward to: the library's book sale, the town's fall festival, then later on my birthday, and of course Halloween


Cons:

It gets colder

It gets dark earlier

The swimming pool will have to be taken down

fall is one step away from winter

Leaves to rake out of all the nooks and crannies on the back porch, and sheet after sheet after sheet of leaves to haul around and dump on the garden



How about everyone else?

As long as the humidity goes away I can take the pros and cons.

I can't think of many pros, except for the heat tapering off. I like fall during its first month. After that, I'm ready for spring/summer again.

Pro, I bought this new semi light jacket I've been itchin to wear... but not til it gets a little cooler.

Con, shorter days.

The biggest con would definitely be the shorter days. When I go to work, it's dark, when I get home, it's dark. Feels like the whole day is wasted.

Me too. I hate cold weather with a passion.

Pros:

Cooler temps

TV Shows Return

Christmas is closer


Cons:

Start of classes

Year is closer to being over

Pros:
New TV season

Cons:
Back to school
racking leaves
colder weather & heavier clothes

The only con for me is it's one step closer to winter. Otherwise, I like just about everything else about it. I don't really mind the shorter daylight hours. Halloween and Thanksgiving are two of my favorite hollidays.

OK, two other cons. Having to deal with school buses on the way to work and not being able to make a right on red at a particular light.
