Have you ever converted any of your old VHS cassettes to DVD? If not, do you have anything saved on video that you would like to someday transfer over to DVD?

We transfer everything that we can; unfortunately some things are protected against it, like Abbott and Costello's movies, Peanuts cartoons, this kind of stuff is not going to budge on a dub conversion.

I'm hoping to be able to do this. Got some that were never on DVD. I really don't want to lose them.

No I've never converted, and I guess I would like my old videos I recorded growing up transferred to DVD, but I kinda don't see the point, I can just youtube them old videos.

My cousin converted a couple of home videos to DVD and there are some that my dad has that I would like to convert. I gotta ask him to send them.

I haven't but considered it. Thing is the quality of most of what I have on VHS isn't that great and I don't think I have too much of anything sacred, so I don't know if it's worth the time and trouble.

I have a DVD/VCR combo that allows me to do this.

What pissed me off is the one tape that I REALLY wanted converted to DVD actually snapped when I rewound it to the beginning. It was a compilation of all the Disney specials that came on TV that my folks recorded for me--things they'll probably never show on TV again, like Donald duck smoking a cigarette and going slam the f*ck off on Mickey Mouse LOL. I'm gonna do a duct tape operation on it sooner or later.

You can repair it with regular scotch tape. Just open up the tape and follow the lead and tape it. (Make sure the tape is in the right location and it is threaded properly. If your not sure open up a tape that is good and look at the lead) Put it in the machine and put it on PLAY not FF and stop it at the point where you want to start duplicating it. I also recommend duplicating it on the SP mode since it is a second generation copy you will get a better quality picture.
