| Just saw a commercial for Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transexual History month this oct. Never heard of it before. Think it's a good thing... but doubt they'll teach it in school. Hope that they do teach it in college's tho. I went to the website: www.glbthistorymonth.com and it is only showing 2010 though. Kinda sad there are not any updates of events. Thought if anyone was aware of something occurring this thread would be a good way to communicate it. | |

| October 11 is National Coming Out Day, so anyone wants to make a statement can do it with flair. That is why the month of Oct. was chosen for the history of the alphabet day.
I have been out for decades now, but it is not a one-time announcement. Ppl come out to themselves first then either remain in the closet or tentatively chance revealing that to friends or family that they trust. (Often with bad results). So it is good to combine this with an educational approach that gay ppl are the same as str8 except for the gender of ppl that turn them on. | |

| If you have the Logo channel I think in October they do a lot on GL history. | |

Our stupid cable doesn't include Logo with the digital package anymore. I don't know if it is avail. for pay or if they got rid of it totally. | |
