How diligent are you about separating colors when you wash? For the most part I don't, and can only think of a few instances where the colors ran onto something that was white.

The thread title "Do you separate the whites from the colored?" sounds like something from segregation days.
But it's about laundry and the only whites I have are some T-shirts, socks and briefs, which I wash with bleach (separate from my blues).

Always. Don't want things to be grey or pink.

Yes because I wash my whites in hot water and use bleach. My colored clothes are washed in cold water because I don't like it when they fade. Sometimes, I'll throw everything in the dryer together, but during the wash they gotta be seperate.

For the most part. If i got a bunch of whites i wont throw in a red shirt. But if i got a bunch of mixed colors i will throw in some wht socks & underwear too.

I separate the whites mainly because I add bleach to the water, not good for color clothes.

My mulatto clothes can be a concern. Mostly white but with a not insignificant amout of color. Mostly I but them with the other colored clothes because of the bleech.
