I've never gotten the point of this, if you keep a secret for your whole life right up until you're about to die, why reveal it then? Why not just take it to the grave since you already kept it so long? Anybody else understand that one? Or does anybody have any plans for a few confessions of their own when/if the time comes?

Whoever cleans out my personal writings will see things not really well known. Things that cannot be easily destroyed since they are archived at the Kinsey Institute.

Nothing to confess yet. As far as why people do it?

I agree with the comments. I can't see myself doing it. If I had an urge to stir things up for someone in particular, I would like to be able to enjoy watching what I've done. But I still can't imagine it.

It's not silly to want to clear your conscious before you die. And if revealing something with help a situation, rather that hurt it or have people in speculation for the rest of eternity, then you should reveal it.

I really don't get it- if it was something that important, it should of been revealed before at a more relevant time. It's basically causing trouble that you don't have worry about being in the middle of since you're dead.
