One of Ray Bradbury's more famous novels, which it turns out was originally a musical he wrote for Gene Kelly, which Kelly loved, but couldn't get backing for, so Bradbury made it a novel instead, which 21 years later became a movie anyway. The movie and the book carry a lot of similarities but the movie got put through a wringer of several rewrites, in fact Stephen King tried writing a script for it and his was rejected, but no matter who put in their effort, Bradbury wasn't all that pleased with the movie, and in rereading this book I can understand why, though I still enjoy the movie. Has anybody read this one?
