Too bad she was actually one of the more interesting characters to come along in awhile, I had hoped she would stick around for awhile more.

Thats what I was thinking, I mean he only shot her in the stomach she could survive even though Tomas confirmed her dead.

Oh please, bad guys have survived worse. lol Victor took a chest shot and is undoubtedly still alive somewhere. Who knows, maybe Tomas is helping to fake her death again.

Yupperz. Frankly, unless the longtime actor dies in the role, they can probably always undo it. Unless they literally show you the corpse decaying episode after episode onscreen, with maybe an onscreen autopsy and embalming, and showing the body being buried after about two weeks being dead onscreen. Then maybe they are really dead. (And this only happened in my mental fanfic so it can never really work on the show. )

I don't believe for a second that Irene isn't really dead. If her death happened off screen or had some kind of "hanging" mystery to it then I'd buy a conspiracy theory about her still being alive, but she was shot in the stomach and bled out in front of us. Her body was examined by at least 3 people...including John. Plus I don't see the point in her not being dead now. They brought her back to muck it up for the family, but she wasn't built to last. She was campy OTT and pushed in a corner. She served her purpose. Why would she need to be alive after this? Now it's time for her to take another final dirt nap. I think she's a real stiff this time.

^^^^True, but a lot of characters have died violent deaths onscreen and come back in soap history.

I think when they go to spitting up blood after being shot, they're done.
