I start Christmas shopping for my mother the day after her birthday in June, couple of things here and there, it will add well up by the time we get to Christmas.

I think we should do Christmas, every other year--skip one in between because it seems like we have one, then another is upon us. We could save money, that way, too--less frequent gift buying.

I never start Christmas shopping before October. Just cannot make myself think about it any earlier than that.

I have so many kids I buy for, I shop all year. Dad told me when we were there that he wanted new kitchen curtains for Christmas, but when he says he wants something, I feel compelled to get it right away and his new curtains shall arrive in a big brown truck on Friday. I had not priced kitchen curtains before I said I would get them right away...yikes...they don't give those things away.
