Boy here's one that gives religious fanatical nutjobs a bad name. Science experiment? What the hell? And how do you figure on an amount of $5,502 to pay someone for branding them like a cow?

If this is a public school, which it appears to be, then he was way out of line!

Freshwater initially denied it, but when he was shown two of the completed surveys during the hearing, he responded "it appears like you have gone through my room and taken some stuff," the paper reported.

Translation: "It appears you've shown that I'm a liar."

"Science is wrong," Mr. Freshwater was reported as saying, "because the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin, and so anyone who is gay chooses to be gay and is therefore a sinner."

The school district settled a lawsuit in Aug. 2008 with the parents of one student, Zachary Dennis, who says that Freshwater burned him with a coil, and agreed to pay his family $5,502 and their attorneys $115,500. Certainly, the lawyers' prayers were answered.

Gee...ya think?! Hey Shale, you ever notice that between the religious fanatics and the science fanatics, it's the religious fanatics that are the ones who use violence? Like the atheist billboard that had to be taken down because of death threats.

If this was a private Christian school, and this was a practice accepted by the members AND the children, then I'd see nothing wrong with it. There are plenty of teens out there who get tattoos, often without parental consent.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought, if you disagree with science, why become a science teacher? That would be like a pacifist becoming a guerrilla.
